Indiana Grown

Indiana Grown - Piglet Ornament 2019
I am excited to announce that I have officially become a member of Indiana Grown! Although all of my felted creations are produced in Indiana, not all of my yarns (were) sourced from Indiana raised fiber animals....I now have several items made with yarns from Indiana raised fiber animals including wool from sheep, alpacas, and goats! (I hope to be adding llama fiber yarns soon too.) Only those items made with 'Indiana grown' yarns include an Indiana Grown tag. The tag also includes the source of the yarn on the back.

These items are all made in small batches and limited editions due to the nature and availability of the yarns and fibers I will be using. Here are pictures of my first Indiana Grown items that are now available for purchase. I will have a few of these at all my upcoming shows as well.

*So, what is Indiana Grown?

Indiana Grown   - Alpaca Pin-Ornies 2019
There are 57,500 farms in Indiana and they produce and process some of the highest quality products around the world. The demand for locally made products is at an all-time high, which is why the Indiana State Department of Agriculture created Indiana Grown - a special statewide brand.
When you buy Indiana Grown products, you are keeping dollars and food close to home and supporting your fellow Hoosiers. You are also supporting jobs and preserving Indiana’s agricultural heritage.
Where can I find Indiana Grown products?

Look for the green Indiana Grown logo.
These products and goods are grown, raised, processed or produced by Hoosier farmers and producers. Indiana Grown products can be found in a variety of Indiana locations, such as grocery stores, restaurants, farmers markets, convenience stores, wineries, breweries, and many more. You can also purchase Indiana Grown products online by visiting our members’ websites.
